I recently downloaded the mod and I got this error with a number. (740)
I have a Windows 8 computer and I set the game to launch accounting Windows XP 2 and/or Windows Me.
Tried launching VCMP accounting Windows XP 2 / Windows Me, the error didn't pop up but neither the game.
I guessed it could be VCMP refusing to launch the game accounting Windows XP 2 / Windows Me.
so I was wondering if there was a way to make VCMP launch the game accounting one of those two while itself is accounting one of those two
Quick note, the game works when I set it to one of the two versions of Windows
Where did you get this error? Can you provide any screenshot?

Have you tried setting it to Windows XP SP3? VC:MP doesn't support SP2.

I tried, I actually believe that I need to make VC:MP launch gta-vc.exe while accounting one of those versions.
Can you go to %APPDATA%\VCMP\04beta and see if there are any crash logs?

Nothing what so ever, apparently I now can't launch Vice City too, something by the lines of c0000005.
