What is this?
This is a personal project of mine which implies downloading a module and running it with GTA-VC (it'll be loaded by default, few configuration required) which allows for interesting game extensions which I'll present below.
What features does it have?
- Server features
- Client features (extended from VCMP)
Server features consist of a great map which contributes to the emotion and the feeling, with well choosen objects at the right places, a loot-drop system which consists of spawned weapons/items (such as gas cans, painkillers) around the map with certain odds, random bullet amount and stacking system and a vehicle energy-system which only consumes energy while the engine is running (so you'll have to stop the engine if you want it to not consume energy).(https://forum.vc-mp.org/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi.imgur.com%2FXguVhg3.jpg&hash=ee92047c4e4ff1bae3bf2d69c4c3c2854f52fe8d)

Client features consist of zombies which are server-controlled and other exciting stuff which I am still thinking of. I'll drop a video below so you can see exactly what I am talking about:

There will be more zombie skins added and more features which I'll add whenever I have time to. Zombie models are not replaced in the gta3.img file, they are loaded in memory by the module so you don't need to worry about that.
NOTE: The server and the module is not finished yet, I am still working on it and will try to make it available as soon as possible. This project is not open-source and will never be released as open-source. This is only a teaser.

I must thank @sseebbyy for contributing so much to the map and in other ways, more or less crucial for this mod. Now I'll have to get down to the finishing touches to the module :)

- Added random player spawns with random skins (from an array of skins)
- Accounts
- Added the account system from the Starfish Gangwar server
- Server saves last position, last weapons, last skin and a tiny inventory
- Vehicles
- Added a vehicle spawn system which keeps spawned vehicles proportional to playercount
- Vehicles spawn with random fuel, random health and random colours, they even have a chance of not spawning
- Rare vehicles (most useful, fast cars/cars with perks) have a lower chance of spawning

- Fixed few issues with ped AI
- Fixed issues with the script and the server behaviour
- Fixed a bug where you could start/stop the car's engine as a passenger
- Fixed an issue where a hit from a ped would cause the camera to switch to classic controls type
- Recoded a big part of the DFF loader

- Added a new inventory item - engine repairing kit. It can replenish a vehicle's HP to a given amount
- Added a new inventory item - flat tyres fix kit. It can make your car's wheels as good as new!

Last update brought some changes that made development extremely difficult. Will provide feedback after I find a solution to bypass VCMP's checks.
I am very interested in this I'll probably drop onto this once its publically released and give it a whirl and maybe stay longer. :P
Are the zombies only spawning in a radius near the player or are they always there across the whole map?
I hope it will be like DayZ:
quick dayz style wishlist:
- hunger, thirst and fatigue system
- custom melee weapons
- basebuilding
- hopefully a GUI inventory menu in future when vcmp gets that kind of support for management of items and weapons
- maybe slow down the player movement speed a tiny bit? or atleast add stamina of some sort dependant on hunger/thirst where player will get tired.
- radio items to allow players to communicate ingame with other players who have radios.
- force disable nametags and blips (obviously dependant on if the server is very active with players)
- Airdrops: plane spawns in the sky (above land) at random times and random places of the map, and flys straight from x to y and spawns another object below it such as a crate which slowly descends from the sky and lands on the ground which contains resources. Player must stand next to the crate for a set period of time e.g 30 seconds without moving to collect it successfully. All players are alerted of the airdrop on the map by a blip and can choose risking to go to the area for the resources and risk having to battle other players and die/lose items if they so desire.
- addition of map objects e.g burned out cars, military barricades, crates with a random item in them, ladders/stairs to many roofs as I doubt helicopters will be a major part of this mod.
If you wanted to go really farther in depth. There could be resource collection, e.g the ability to chop trees down for wood. Wood could be used to craft items - shelter, a campfire, a weapon. Maybe would be possible to have a custom "axe" weapon which could be used to chop individual trees by standing next to it and the use of a command/keybind. Once the tree health is depleted the "hide object" command could be used for that specific model which would delete it for a limited period of time before releasing and bringing it back. but I'm not a scripter just an ideas guy so in reality I have no idea how it would work out.
- Looting other player corpses for resources, weapons and perhaps even cannibalism chopping up meat. Would tie into the campfire idea above where meat would be cooked ^
- bleeding damage? dunno if thats possible, e.g player gets shot and health slowly decreases over time and maybe even leave the small blood trails aswell if that would be possible. must patch up wounds with an item to stop bleeding effect or else player will keep on losing blood/hp until the screen has a drunk effect and then death at 0.
- distance based VoiP support, more of a vc-mp function itself but dunno if it can be implemented.
Hunger, thirst and fatigue are relatively easy to implement, even without clientside support.
Zombies spawn in groups and the zombie count is proportional to the playercount, so that you don't get +100 zombies being alone in the server :)
However, if you happen to run past a zombie, he might/might not notice you, depending on their state and random calculations (there must be some luck-based elements, right? :D)
The server already has a map of it's own (currently restricted to the region of downtown) with plenty of objects, houses, and there are plenty of tools/guns to be found in those places, these respawn at different times proportionally to their rarity.
Drops are of several kinds:
- Consumer grade drops
- Melees
- Handguns - Colt45, Silenced Ingram RARE
- Civilian Defense Unit drops
- Melees - such as Machete, Katana or Chainsaw
- Teargas - really effective way of killing a horde
- Handguns - along the most effective, the Tec9 and the Uzi
- Shotguns - the Chrome Shotgun
- Police drops
- Throwables - Grenades, Molotovs
- Rifles - Ruger RARE, MP5
- Shotguns - Stubby Shotgun, Chrome Shotgun
- Revolvers - Python
- Military-grade drops
- Shotguns - Spaz Shotgun
- Rifles - M4 RARE, MP5
- Snipers - Laser Scope Sniper Rifle
- Specials - EXTREMELY RARE: Rocket Launcher, Flamethrower
- Throwables - Remote Grenades
- Melees - Machete
- Handguns - Ingram, Tec9
- Revolvers - Python
- Supply drops
- Painkillers
- Kevlar vest
- Petrol cans
- Car fix kit
- Tyre fix kit
Same goes for cars. Cars spawn with a random damage (including visual damage, tyre damage and others...) which can be fixed by players and a random amount of fuel which can be replenished by players. The rarest vehicle that can spawn is a
Rhino which only spawns in the military base (right in front of Hyman Memorial Stadium) and it has a chance of spawning of
4%.
The gameplay is as user-friendly as it gets, most interactions requiring no commands, those being based on keybinds which are carefully mapped to not trouble any user.
In regard to:

Due to the latest update all mods like this have been blocked, the VCA module I wrote had both voice-chat and GUI options so this should be possible
In addition to what Murdock said, I implemented mylly GUI in GTA-VC in almost no time, but I run into some rendering errors that seem to be related to rendering states.

The reason for the delay is that I cannot push out something that requires dll injection into the game because all of you guys would start screaming: "TROJAN!" "VIRUS!" "WORM!" and whatnot because your anti-viruses will detect my stuff as an injector and flag it as a virus. So that's a nope-nope.

What are you trying to "inject" in the first place?
The clientside module is basically a .dll which is renamed (it's extension) into .asi (so the game loads it as a dll). It'd require an executable to wait for the game to start and as soon as it starts to inject the dll.

I actually took my time and worked out the way to sync the values in the progress bars with the server. I also implemented an anticheat for those of you who might not play fair. Consequences are not so tough, just the indefinite loss of your inventory and life, aswell.

Then the problem becomes people just spamming the master list with the same server script over and over, not understanding anything about it. I'd bet that at least half of the Squirrel support threads are because someone just copied VCCNR or Warchiefs and hit a brick wall when they actually needed to add a feature.
Servers should be unique, and therefore scripts should be unique, so you won't see me advocating for open source scripts either. Besides, Shadow's server is dependent on client and server modification modules that haven't even been released yet.

lol. Gamemodes are released when somebody is getting bored of them, or just want to share their work.
Anyway, in our case, we have a new client with many features that some of us are testing as much as possible, and trying to create a nice unique server. Why would we share the source ? Guys like you will simply edit it a bit, give it another name/credits and just fill the masterlist with the same gamemode.
hmm. Understand. BTW , to make VCMP famous with more users , this is the best way i think. And one more thing, in SAMP all gamemodes are very different. Even they are from same released gamemode.

I was developing , But for some problem. I don't work with scripting ( VCMP ) now. don't get it like fool. I didn't say that I never did. I am scripting in SAMP this time. Thats why, I on't work with VCMP script for now

There's literally no other resort other than injection. The injector is done long ago, I need to improve sync and finish the gamemode.

I've been really busy with real life stuff and my interest has shifted away, but I'll try to get to it once Stormeus runs out of updates and doesn't force me to grab a new set of pointers every morning :D

Do you use cheat engine or something to get the pointers or do you downright disassemble it?

I usually look for patterns and strings and offsets in the disassembly in functions (used for hooks and stuff like that).

The bots are made from an external client-side library.
The project is revived and I'd appreciate some contribution in the form of testing and reporting bugs. Thanks to everyone involved so far (particularly Stormeus, maxorator for the early support back in ~2014-2015 and SLC (late 2016))

Couldn't get a hang of you on IRC, or maybe I didn't search enough :p.
I shot you a PM months ago when you had asked for testers and never got a reply.
Putting everything on hold till I get to find out what makes some users not able to connect.
The reason why the public beta was cancelled is that RakNet is playing games on me and everyone else. For some reason, only some players (a quarter, statistically) are able to connect. The packets are sent, I receive them but RakNet does not establish the connection. I have sent a PM to people that are more experienced than me with RakNet (*cough* Stormeus) and I am still seeking help on this issue from everyone willing to provide it. Currently awaiting response, I must say that the development is currently in stall because the mod needs more testing to provide information about further issues.
