in short, repeatedly spamming C ("storming" or "droching"), will eventually result in every single shot missing, which becomes annoying....
plz fix this soon, it becomes annoying even when playing against 80 ping players lol, laggers not even going to mention..
as a side note, 0.3z was perfectly giving out shots at the given moments, there were no shots missed back then like this...

i think this feature somehow got lost after 0.4 release, for some reason ( it never affected slide ), the delay between crouch and the fired shotgun bullet is too big, leaving too much space inbetween times
first shot will ALWAYS be synced, then if you repeat shots too fast, sync will get confused and eventually glitch out your ped animations
as a side note, it's not a really big loss for stubby and spaz, but shotgun REALLY is underpowered since this happens... you could test it out yourselves to see, there's no way you can play with this annoying thing, imagine when this happens during combat.. and you're not switching rapidly AT ALL...(ps: it doesn't need to be as quick as i did it in video, you could do it much slower and expect same results)
you could try to experiment on a rel003 server, or a 004, but this feature i can tell you undoubtedly that it's present ever since i have been playing 0.4..

Practically, this refreshes your anim once you get onfeet, hoping it fixes the shots too.
Tested it myself, but I have no DM skills to actually do the spamming.

i think as long as vcmp client won't permit it, we won't be able to do anything server-side, but i could try either way to do so.. any time you're free, i am not good at coding at all so don't expect me to run a localhost for this xD

rel003 is the final good version of 0.4, i doubt any lower versions will have this, because as i remember hanney made a video regarding this issue (but it was happening while spamming fast switch only, which is fixed now)
however, this did not resolve the C-spam apparently...

but i don't think it will be a hard one to fix, because i remember hanney made at beginning of 0.4 a video called "fs missing shots", in which same bug was happening, as i mentioned above, but it was happening when shooting normally with fast switch (LW gameplay)
developers can bring this back without any effort, i'm sure of that, the problem is how long will it take and how much more we'll have to endure this pain of shotgun bullets not arriving in time and struggling to hit each other even if we have 30 vs 30 ping fights :\

if the fast switching problem could be fixed (rel004 fixed it as far as i remember), then most likely it won't be a hard fix this time either, it just needs concentration, developers dealt with way bigger problems before, it's only a matter of time till they get to work ;D
The only way to actually fix it for good is to sync every shot a player does.
So, things would work like this: You press FIRE button, then your client sends the request for shot to the server, which, if everything is okay, approves the shot and send it to all clients around.
This would pretty much create as much lag as posible, if I'm not wrong. (imagina a dm zone)
Take molotovs/grenades as an example. They are working like that.
Comparing to 0.3z molotovs, 0.4 adds some lag to it.
i will let devs do this the best way they know it should be done, they fixed worse bugs in past, they even dealt with aimbots lol...
as i said. all that matters is we have this back in shortest amount of time possible, i understand that everyone has a personal life and vcmp fixes may need a little more waiting

here's a 0.3z gameplay which may help for the case
the hit rate was shit compared to 0.4's, but there was no shots missed (ps: hit rate in 0.3 is affected mostly by the fact that C-glitch works same as rel003, which makes player slide when he pressed C immediatly after shooting a weapon, no longer present in 0.4 thankfully), however the shots got synced good, as every single time there was not even 1 missed shot of the continuous crouch
ok here i am back with some new information that might help the case
apparently, stubby and shotgun are the only ones affected by this, spaz is not really affected like them, still some shots may miss but i think it may be blamed on the fact that this bug exists at all.
after a long research this is what i found:

the probability of shotgun repeated crouch is 0%, as you can see, however some c-glitch shots may actually be received, 50% of them at least..

the same with stubby, however this weapon does not require glitching at all to be played with, it's only problematic when you try to double shot with crouch, which is indeed frustrating.

however as i expected, spaz does a much better job with this. as you can see this weapon does NOT get affected almost at all by this annoying bug, since its accurate shots are 95% (both crouching and glitching), due to the fact that this bug exists, however it's not really affected that hard
so you might want to revise the shotgun and stubby, and improve the gameplay for everybody.
the question is, why is shotgun most affected?
simply, it's because this weapon often requires a ton of crouch spamming in order to hit a target, due to the fact it has same bullets spread as the spaz, but longer range.
stubby doesn't require because its shooting anim is way shorter than shotgun's, and because in a close range you don't need to spam crouch that much as i see.
ps: switching to fist ( the null switch as i call it ) makes it even worse miss shots
@Piterus may know since he played in his own servers /dm stubby arenas, and might have at some point noticed his shots are just desynced totally.
in conclusion: for perfect gameplay and non missing shots, play with spaz until this bug is fixed
stubby will work out too if it's not spammed ( not required but may be preferably to do so by many old players)
avoid shotgun fights, you will never be able to get absolutely accurate results, because this weapon in usual gameplays is totally bugged:

back on topic, yes, it's not frame limiter's fault.
60 fps is stable enough to handle DM physics, what it's not good for is driving, flying skimmer on water, among some other issues.

this is how weapon rapid fire should work, even better i guess. there were almost no shots missed in the video, and the player velocity is higher after any shot fired
It's really irritable. That fast-switch works perfectly using Stubby and another weapons like M4 and Python but there's not effect on Pump-action.
Many times I did that trick, but now I know why never hits the opponent.

this is due to animation getting bugged after the moment you shot and you want to do it again.
the shot comes out too late, which was probably made like this as a fix to the ghost shots. however i think this still can be fixed without adding ghost shots. the problem is the animation was delayed a little too much, and this bug went unnoticed because players got used to each other lagging or most likely there were not enough skilled glitchers back then
don't get me wrong here, im not asking you to re-add a bug in VC:MP, re-adding ghost shots would only make things worse.
i'm asking you to FIX a bug that prevents players from getting fair and accurate results in a duel.

So the 3 ways this happens are :
1. the way Hunting has been demonstrating in his videos.
2. crouching after the shot to switch sprint and run.
3. switching and then jumping right after the shot
After some experimenting. 1. and 2. can be fixed by changing the reload weapon value to "1". which brings up a problem, all shotguns will be able to shoot really fast like spaz when crouched... and spaz will be able to shoot without reloading. haha. thats the thing with these settings. You fix one thing, another problems arises. but cause 3. is a another even more complicated problem it seems. unless we can allow the shooting animation to continue for a small moment after the jumpshot. (but this might lead us into what we dont want, ghostshots)
I have a feeling there might be a way to prevent the shotguns acting like spaz when crouched. Did'nt experiment with that yet.

if this requires ghost shots to be added, then idk... it's a difficult choice.. but when you think of it, the problem that 0.3z was totally bugged weren't exactly the ghost shots, but the way the sync was scripted, outdated, etc.
however i don't suggest bringing back those glitches... but, well... it's totally up to the devs this time...
in the case that NOTHING can be done and this bug cannot be fixed unless ghost shots are brought back, i suggest we add a poll and let players decide their own fate, if they want to continue this lame way of playing with shotgun, or.. re-add ghost shots ... both alternatives sucks tbh

yes, it happened in 2) and 3) situations for me too, i forgot to mention. and this is not the only situation by the way
it sometimes happers when "hammer shot" is made (as noori used to call it) and that means when you sit in a spot and spam crouch and standing, crouch and standing multiple times then keep shooting again, and start spamming double fire(via hammer shot)....
i still hope for a 3rd way, and maybe from a response from devs if they will be back soon.. because without their opinions, we, the regular players, cannot do much ourselves, since w cannot READ what is in the coding of VCMP itself and what is "under the hood", since we don't have access..
EDIT: meanwhile, we could suggest servers to change the weapons reload value to 1 if we INDEED want a fix and are too fucking impatient. a skilled player will manage to dodge shots no matter the situation (unless this option really sux, i haven't seen the way this behaves so i'm not going to insist on doing so), but what i suggest is we're patient for a fix.... idk, it's up to server owners really now
