George's VC:MP Launcher / Launcher Updates

February 13th


An update has been released!

  • A lot of bugs were fixed.
  • Now the application is movable.
  • Now the login authentication sends the hashed password and MAC Address is no longer used.
  • Welcome/Home page added. At the home page you can stop loading or refresh the servers list, see your friends online, your last server played and your pending friendship requests.
  • Direct connection can be done by the Home page.
  • Now you can choose between local server query or remote server query(this one uses a third party server to do the query), this choose can be done in "settings" section.
    NOTE: By default the query is done locally.
  • Status bar shows the current players online in all servers.
  • Server's details also shows the count of friends who are playing there.
  • Added interface for management of your favorites list.


The update will be done once you open your Launcher. If you prefer you can download the updated Launcher by clicking here

Still doesn't answer my question why you'd need someone MAC address.
Say how exactly should be done, the search for friend, request system, accepting system, action system, all of this and more saving locally.
And about the MAC Address is to make the client's session safe.
You just add nicknames you want to follow to your local list of friends. When you open the browser it looks around in the servers for that nick and tells you if they're online. I don't see the problem.
So, I would be friend of anyone I want? even if that person don't want that? And if I want to see what servers my friend played recently?

I got problems on sending passwords hashed, but I've already solved that and will be working in the next update.
And the MAC address is for check that the client's session will not be violated. But if this really bother you guys, I can remove it.

About the emails, the email server is having troubles, I will check out what's going. All accounts were activated!
