Title: hosting server with virtualbox?

i have downloaded ubuntu on virtualbox, and my question is, will i be able to host my server there without portforwarding? if someone could guide me how to host server on it..

( i know the comands to start server )

NO. That virtual machine still has to go through your router. It's basically just like any other PC connected to the router if a Bridged connection type is used or the same as using your computer directly if a NAT connection type is used. Either way, the answer was, is and will be a simple no.
