A minor client update has been released for 0.4 Release Candidate 2.
- Windowed mode is disabled by default, and game_framereserve is set to 10 by default.
- Added config option game_streammem, which allows you to modify the stream memory limit (in megabytes) of VC.
- Increased the default stream memory limit from 40MB to 80MB to fix issues with textures not loading properly.
This update will override all configurations on first run to reset the first two settings in order to ensure high quality gameplay for all players. Anyone who had different settings is free to change the settings back after this update is applied.
This update will take effect upon loading the browser or joining a RC2 server.
A browser update was also pushed to ModDB which makes it mandatory for new players to change their name from UnknownPlayer, and bundles the Visual C++ redistributables with the installer rather than making it a web download.
