Downloaded the VCMP04_Installer.4. extracted. installed.
GTA is on Steam, never played it before so i do not have a save game (in case i´d need one).
i got the mod in the download folder, game in the steam folder.
changed the updater url to http://u04.thijn.ovh
when i double click a server, the game starts loading, rockstar logo, then the oldschool looking loading screen followed by a black screen. if i press enter i see the vice city picture, then the "start new game", "load game" "exit game" menu, that´s it.
i tried different servers, always the same.
once i think saw a missing path info. gta dirctory in the server browser is set to steam. the server browser is in the local appdata.

Because vcmp does not support the lastest versions of vice city. you can try copying the vc's files somewhere else, and use hoodlum 1.0 exe file.
If an dll is missing like mss you can google it on the internet.

and where do i find the hoodlum exe?
is it still legal then? because it is a crack though.

downloaded it, copied it, it is loading and i see the vice city multiplayer screen, then i get the "game doesn´t work anymore" message....
