Title: [Server] Port Forward
Post by: Drake on Mar 11, 2016, 08:51 AM
I have port forwarded a particular port from the router correctly and I'm sure of that because the announcer plugin doesn't throw any error and I've even checked here: http://master.vc-mp.org/servers, and I found my IP listed.

But the thing is that I don't see it in the masterlist and when added in favourites, it says 'Unknown Server' but localhost works fine.
Some help would be appreciated.

Most routers block traffic to itself. If it works on the announcer, it should work for anyone else.

That's what I want to know, it should work but it isn't working. I'm currently using Dlink DIR 605L , if you can provide anything with which I can troubleshoot.

The announce server is currently unable to verify if a server is online on its own since someone's been attacking it with repeated UDP flood attacks.

The main cause of the issue is that the firewall on the server is now blocking all incoming UDP traffic, since the web server doesn't need it and we don't want it to choke. Something else we could try is rate limiting UDP packets.

Until the web server is safe though, VC:MP servers won't be notified if their server can't be contacted on our master list.

So that means it's my router which isn't port forwarding due to some reason?

Test it using my VC:MP Checker (http://thijn.minelord.com/vcmp/checker).

@Drake Make your Protocol UDP and make sure that you have allowed your "server32" || "server64" etc from the Fire-wall, and delete the rubbish from the Port Forwarding Area( it might be a cause if you have any). i.e (https://forum.vc-mp.org/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi65.tinypic.com%2F14vs745.png%255B&hash=53093072ebc58fab60a1b78c2e299cc3c3b90722)
P.S : Also allow your LAN Loopback( if have ).
Additional : You can open Command Prompt and type /ipconfig to set up the IP in your Router( The IP should be IPv4 Autoconfig ). Sure I do know you have set the things correct, but still if it might help you.

This problem also with me when i want to make a server but its shows that same error  this error  became because my router is an a dynamic which change my IPv4 on every restart make sure same problem with you.

I guess when you first time port forward your server is in Master list after restarting your router/PC then you did not find your server in Master list if yes? then check again your IPv4 again do port forward simple as that.(don't forgot to put the new IPv4)

Hope this will work
