I got the game from steam, downloaded the MP, didn´t work. so i did my research and changed the update link, downloaded the crack and it looks like i´m getting closer and closer, but i´m still unable to run it and the "support" section seems kinda dead too...
i´m getting as far as the vice city multiplayer loading screen, then the message "game doesn´t work anymore" pops up and i see a lot of people having trouble too, so is there anyone who knows how to get this running and could do a little guide? i mean, i see people playing it and more would like to, so if you can, please help

and where do i find the hoodlum exe?
 is it still legal then? because it is a crack though.

If it's legal or illegal: while no one reports you to cops you are fine.

You can find it on google or on youtube.

Downloaded the VCMP04_Installer.4. extracted. installed.
GTA is on Steam, never played it before so i do not have a save game (in case i´d need one).
i got the mod in the download folder, game in the steam folder.

changed the updater url to http://u04.thijn.ovh

when i double click a server, the game starts loading, rockstar logo, then the oldschool looking loading screen followed by a black screen. if i press enter i see the vice city picture, then the "start new game", "load game" "exit game" menu, that´s it.
i tried different servers, always the same.

once i think saw a missing path info. gta dirctory in the server browser is set to steam. the server browser is in the local appdata.
