Support / Server List doesn't load completely
Jul 21, 2015, 05:05 PM
Everytime I open my client I need to click Refresh Master List once or twice to actually load up the entire server list.

Turns out I set gta-vc.exe to XP SP3 compatibility mode some days ago and that was causing it not to start.

Also, the path to the settings file seems to have changed to C:\Vice City Multiplayer\04rel003\

But, I've changed the windowed mode setting on it and made no effect.

Although I've changed the settings file in C:\Users\Username\AppData\Roaming\VCMP\04beta to set the game to run in windowed mode and I can now play.

Fixed.

It stays like this so I'm guessing it crashes.

Today I bought VC exclusively through Steam just to play VC-MP. Upon clicking on a server to join the game loads and just freezes at the loading banner where I then need to close my Windows session in order to do something. Because it just freezes to a point not even CTRL+ALT+DEL shows up.

It is a fresh install and I just had before another problem with the client not being able to load a VC-MP dll because of it not correctly reading my windows username that goes on the dlls path. I've then reinstalled it onto C:\'s root.

I have this same exact issue. I think this is because the client can't properly read paths that have european characters just like mine and the OP.

Reinstalling the client on a different path will solve this issue. However it is still a bug.
