Is Sublime Text 3 any good, or did you not try that one out? I've been enjoying ST2 for quite some time, definitely better then anything I've used.

ST3 is ST2 improved and seems to have a good deal of plugins. I've been using it for more than a year now so I'd definitely recommend it.

If you aren't extremely picky then I'm guessing you won't have issues using either one. I've been using ST3 for a while (actually the only text editor I've been using for a long while, more than 2 years) and it's quite stable and smooth.
QUICK TIP FOR THOSE WISHING TO TRY ST: (with your file opened) Hold CTRL+SHIFT+P and then enter the letter 'D' (case insensitive) and hit enter. Best syntax highlighting for Squirrel in Sublime text.
