Hello.
When I trying to install VC-MP, it shows error message that says it requires XP SP3.

But my PC runs with Windows XP Pro x64 SP2, SP2 for XP x64 is equals to SP3 for XP 32-bit.

How to bypass this?

The error is quite informative if you read, you need atleast Service Pack 3 on XP to install. Would recommend upgrading to a newer OS.

:edit: And no x64 SP2 XP is not SP3 XP

NO! Simply no! x86(32 bit) and x64 (64bit) are just processor ahitectures!. Who told you that is a retard.

Its closer to SP3 than SP2 for x86, because XP x64 was released in 2005.

DizzasTeR

So SP2 x64 XP is not the same as SP2 x32 XP, where does it say its equivalent to SP3, your issue is clearly just to upgrade your OS

ChevyCaprice90

I can't, SP2 is max. (I don't want to use Windows Vista\7\8\10)
BTW
I just fixed it. After removing OS check installation was successful, VCMP works fine.
Just for fun I'm also tested it on my Windows 2000 laptop, it works too)

I suggest you upgrade your OS. Your hardware is pretty good, why still using such old OS?
After all, LU no longer support Windows XP. And MTASA is going to drop support for XP and Vista and now it provides a legacy build for these OS.

Huh, didn't know Windows XP x64 didn't get an SP3. I'll have to look further into this.

This might be the case but we still can't support it officially. Microsoft's documentation for our compiler says that XP SP3 x86 and XP SP2 x64 are our minimum supported OSes, and we can't use older compilers since we use some more modern C++ features.

XP x64 didn't get SP3 because XP 32-bit didn't get SP4.
I mean SP2 for x64 was released in dec 2007 (almost at same time as SP3 for 32-bit), SP2 for XP 32-bit was released in 2004.
But XP x64 been receiving security updates until July 2015, as common updates with Server 2003.

BTW, VC-MP running smooth now on my XP x64 machine.
