When trying to change the server port by adding "port x" in the server.cfg, the server port does not change and defaults back to 8192. Only happens with the Windows server

Make sure your line endings are correct
(rewrite it by hand in a proper text editor, you can use wordpad)

Not really. Dont confuse notepad with wordpad. Notepad always f*s up when its supposed to read files with a foreign line ending or saving something properly. Wordpad works. Always.
:edit: just noticed, check the dates on the copyright notice in the server

While Wordpad is better then Notepad, it's still not a proper text editor suitable for programming.

We're off-topic now. The problem is solved. Shall we lock it?
P.S:- Still, wordpard is good for editing server.cfg.
