Vice City Multiplayer
«  »Last edited
Hi, how are you doing this post to make a more understandable discussion than the previous topic This, what you are looking for is that Vice City Multiplayer is back to what it was even three years ago and the priority for that is to take things gently so as not to force the developers, I ask all the members of the community to make the suggestions they have for the developers so that they improve VCMP.

I suggest:

A better aesthetic but at the same time do it for PC with fewer resources, About this last mind Stormeus is giving initiative to this as it shows in his last post.

That a system is developed anti modifications and hacks that automatically the player enters the server all the dirty that it has does not work.

That there a team that keeps supervising the servers so that there is no administrative abuse and good treatment to the players that otherwise the server will be sanctioned a time in the master list.

And finally a better management of the developers to have good content on their servers and keep giving good updates on them.

That's what I'm asking for to improve our Vice City Multiplayer.

Remember to leave your suggestions here or ask what they ask in General Discussion Thanks.

well, if you didn't see that topic was kind of joke. The real way to promote this server is to advertise it on other forums of mostly SA:MTA and suggest the YouTubers having more than 100K subs to play this game as a test. The developers aren't really interested in the project. They even thought that this project is dead once a year ago.

Invite my brother Gerald called on Youtube as Gezzy TV and try to make game plays in this game and it did not work out because there were no players

Also if it is published in other forums you can be banned from the up in off topic since you are stealing players another of the things that have more fallen VCMP is the exaggeration of DM servers the programmers should also take a time for RPG and Minigames Poir that is cataloged the MTA and SAMP

we can request the hrads that this project is dying so in order to save it, we need players so let us make a topic. They might allow it. Also there are millions of forums on the world which allow advertising.

Being allowed to make a thread on a random server's site doesn't really bring players. With VC:MP there's three main issues we have to contend with, in my opinion:
  • We have no exposure anywhere. Ever since we changed the client download link to point to our own server instead of ModDB, our ranking there went from place 10-20 to the 700s. Our GTAGarage page hasn't been updated in over a decade; it points to an expired domain and a super old client. We have no uploads on any other modding sites. GTA-Multiplayer.cz still lists 0.3z R2 as our latest version. I'll reach out to some site admins and see if I can rectify this; this also means I'll likely change the client download link to point to ModDB again as a means of having some source of players instead of keeping to ourselves. Being insular only reduces the influx of new players.

  • GTA:VC is inherently less expansive than San Andreas. SA:MP and MTA:SA are popular because there's still a lot you can do in its confines. Vice City's map, by contrast, is tiny. There are very few interiors. Vice City is also pretty flat with a lot of beachfront; even compared to GTA III, it simply feels less dense. There's only so much you can do with custom maps in this regard short of a total conversion (which LCS-DM and LC Unleashed do). This is also something we can help somewhat by adding more features for scripting.

  • We are very far removed from our original development team. It's easy to forget, but VC:MP was originally a testing project for SA:MP. At this point, though, the entire team has moved away from VC:MP, and apparently doesn't want to acknowledge our existence at this point. Back when 0.4 was still in public beta, I posted a thread over there inviting SA:MP people to play since we share a common development history. They actually went out of their way to delete the thread. This means we are completely on our own for support.

The first impression matters the most. When you open a server, and a first player joins, guide him properly. Don't spawn him at airport with no other information about what can he do. He is gonna leave as soon as he spawns.
Guide him, show off your scripting skills.

Also, make your players believe they can dm, and everything will work like a charm.

Stop fighting dm.

A script designed in client side should be made which should give options to new players if they are an old member or new. If new, they should be given guidance on how to play VCMP. This should be especially on the Official Servers and the script should also be made public so all other scripters can take it from the forum and add it to their script.

I understand but if you talk about advertising you have to do it and more with the initiative that Matheus https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OKygNst02a0 , gave, I and my team will take some time to publish about this in all possible forums and that is allowed

But GTAGarage is a page for mods but there should not be hacks like T2012

In this community we have a lot of power, medium VCMP knows how to make 3D models for interiors and we do not rely only on squirrel we also use c ++, java among other types of programming

The community is still extensive you can get people to support, even if it was for some samp you and others struggled for the game to come out alone, as this was a fad we strive to bring to life again

4. People don't simply care for an old game like VC.
I sincerely don’t know what are you doing here

I see all your posts here are about you complaining how old is this, how old is that

if you really like something, it’s okay, no matter how old it is, it absolutely means nothing

I agree with you :'D what he is doing here, All he does is to bring negativity to the game and to the new players.

There's too many people that I have played VC:MP with, and all quited because of the same reason :
Code: [Select]
SA:MP is better
. Don't believe me? Then I'll give you away their discord accounts.  Fun fact: they came from SA:MP too.

New players are rare, today `gamers` only care about new games that only run at high-end computers.
VC:MP will never reach it's old time peak because of how people think (it's natural to be attracted to new things, ofc, I'm not trying to insult people that try and enjoy new things). It's also the mob mentality, some people do a thing, and some more people do the same thing (I tried to keep this short). An good example is LW's players. They only join because :
Code: [Select]
OMG owo LW is best server bcuz it has most players

And that affirmation is totally false. You know why I stopped making my VC:MP server? Because for any new server, there's no chance to get 20+ players, unless you really put effort. But I won't do that much effort. Because I got bored of scripting in Squirreil and I stopped making Romania Cops N Robbers (my VC:MP server, RIP 2015-2019).

All my posts aren't like that. Stop generalizing sh!t all the time. And, to answer your question, I just got no better things to do.

As I said before, there's just us, nostalgic `gamers` that just enjoy older games, because most gamers are underage kids that play games like Fortnite, PUGB, GTA V, LoL, and et cetera... (That's a generalization too, yes, I'm a stupid person too).

Also, stop crying and do something, I dunno, talk to youtubers about VC:MP servers like Brasil Real, VCCNR (BUT NOT LW, EC or VK, these 3 servers are disgusting ).

You think I'm the only negative person here. Nope. You too complain why VC:MP has under 140 players, and still do nothing.
