Adding support for higher refresh rates / fps

Ok i'm back .. it's been a long time and i decided to play VC:MP
The problem is ... i just bought a 144hz monitor and it works like CRAP on VC:MP or VC in general.
To be more explicit it feels like 15 fps because as you all know VC forces your refresh rate to 60 .. and my monitor doesn't like that
G-Sync doesn't seem to help with that the problem is in the game itself
If you can add a client-sided fps command something like
/setconfig game_fps 120,144,240 (etc)
or a server-sided one to force client's fps to 60,120,144,240
That would be great because i can't play the game anymore.. Also alt+tab's take 1-2 seconds .. it's not instant

to be more explicit but i can't show much of my perspective because for that i would need to record my screen :D but i recorded in 144hz that should show half of my perspective

If there is a client-sided fix that i can do please tell me

Uhh, your fps is fine, if it feels choppy or messed up just force vsync on the game in your nvidia control panel and try testing some values there.

thanks i will try that :)

edit : just makes things worse xD i think i can't do really much about it :(

Try forcing VSync and stuff, I have a 120Hz GSync display laptop and I don't have any issues

It's quite an outdated and ineffective (most of the times) solution to be fair, that consumes / demands more from the GPU rather than it should do from the monitor natively, leave alone the shitty input lag and other possible downs being caused from it.

The devs should have implemented this a long time ago already. I know people that have 144+hz monitors (and actual good PCs) and they can't get the full potential from the game without having to rely on different workarounds or ways that are considered "explicit" on the actual servers.

Thus it's not our fault the majority (to not say it here offensively) can't get a proper PC if you'd ask, but it should be let freely as an option / support for anyone who would consider buying proper devices someday that still play this game / client.

I would have responded with constructive reasoning on why you're wrong but I guess you're at a point where you'll bitch about this anyway no matter what explanation is given, still I'll give you one that is the simplest to understand.

Vice City is an old title, old enough that the physics relies on frametimes and framelimit or FPS. If you just watch the intro scene with fps limiter on and off, you'll see how Ken's parking varies ALOT in 30 and 60 fps.

Going above 60 will just make the game go nuts in physics, or even if it doesn't then it will look janky online for other players. Every old Grand Theft Auto titles having 3rd party MP mods (3, VC, SA) don't let server owners go above 60 fps for a reason.
