🌴 WTVC – Update 7 Beta: Story Missions & Grindy Progression🌴

Update 7 Beta is live on WTVC with a big focus on story missions, new sounds, and progression. This is not a simple deathmatch server – it is meant to be grindy. If you expect instant DM, free gear and zero progression, please don't complain to the admins.


What's new in Update 7 Beta

• New Beta Story Missions
  
  • Scripted mission flows that tie jobs, robberies and classes into proper stories.
  • Multiple mission paths under active testing – payouts and difficulty will be tuned during the beta.
  • Expect changes based on feedback, bugs, and economy balancing.
  
  
• Over 20 New Sounds
  
  • Fresh sound cues on missions, robberies, purchases, passes, and events.
  • Spawns, SMS alerts, cutscenes and special actions now have distinct audio.
  • The goal is more feedback and atmosphere, not silence or pure gun spam.
  
  
• New Skins & NPCs
  
  • Additional skins for classes, jobs and flavor RP.
  • New NPC placements for shops, missions and city flavour.
  • More "living" Vice City instead of empty markers everywhere.
  
  

This is a Grindy Server (On Purpose)

WTVC is designed around work + progression, not instant DM:

• You will grind jobs, missions and events for cash and XP.
  
• You will unlock classes, passes and content over time.
  
• You are expected to use /myphone, /help and mission text instead of just running and shooting.
  

If you join expecting:

"Simple DM, free everything, no grind, no reading."

then this server is not for you. Don't flame staff because you don't want to do missions, jobs or progression.


Admin Expectations

Admins are here to:

• Keep the server stable and fair.
• Fix bugs and balance missions during the beta.
• Deal with cheaters and griefing.

Admins are not here to:

• Skip your grind.
• Hand out free money, levels or passes.
• Argue because you don't like that the server isn't pure DM.

Final Notes

• Update 7 Beta is still in progress – missions, sounds and NPCs may move or change.
• Report bugs and feedback in the Update 7 section instead of only complaining in chat.
• If you enjoy grind, progression, and story-driven missions with a lot of new audio and visual detail, this update is aimed at you.

WTVC UPDATE: VICERICE RADIO + DOWNLOAD NOTE

We've shipped a new update that adds ViceRice Radio to the server and tightens up the audio experience.

VICERICE RADIO

- Your personal ViceRice Radio now auto-starts when you join.
- New radio commands:
  - /stopradio – Stops your personal radio after the current song and starts a 5-minute cooldown.
  - /restartradio – Restarts your personal radio, but only after the 5-minute cooldown has finished.
  - /switchradio – Reserved for future station switching (coming soon).

IF YOU DON'T HEAR THE RADIO WHEN YOU SPAWN

  • Reconnect once to sync the audio.
  - In-game hints will also remind you to reconnect if radio isn't playing correctly.

DOWNLOAD SIZE (PLEASE READ)

This update includes new audio files for the radio, so your first join after the update may have a larger download than usual.

- Expect up to ~5 minutes max of download time for most players, depending on your connection.
- After the first download, future joins should be normal again.

(no sound, overlapping tracks, weird stops):

- Please report them in your bug-report channel with:
  - What you were doing (/stopradio, /restartradio, joining, etc.)
  - Approximate time it happened
  - Any error messages or odd behavior you noticed

VICE RICE RADIO UPDATE: PLAYER-CONTROLLED TRACKS

We've tweaked ViceRice Radio so tracks only play when you choose, to prevent abuse and unwanted songs.


- New manual commands:
  - /playtrack1
  - /playtrack2
  - /playtrack3
  - /playtrack4

- Only one track at a time per player.
- No more random auto-playing music in the background.


If something feels off with the new system, post details in the bug/feedback section so we can fine-tune it.

METAL VICE ATTACKS, JUMP CMD & HYDRA BOMB KEY — HOW TO USE THEM

OVERVIEW
This guide shows you all the new keybinds and how they connect to the existing commands.
You can always type /myphone in-game to see this info as well.

METAL VICE EVENT – ATTACK KEYS (1–4)
During the Twisted Metal Vice event, you get special attacks bound to the number keys:


- 1 key – Rocket 1: Fires a rocket straight ahead of your car. 
- 2 key – Rocket 2: Fires a side/angled rocket from your car. 
- 3 key – Rocket 3: Long‑range rocket shot straight ahead. 
- 4 key – Ultimate blast: Multiple explosions in a circle around you. 


Notes: 

- These keys only work during Metal Vice. 
- You must be inside your Metal Vice car. 
- Rockets and the ultimate share a cooldown, so time your shots.

METAL VICE – JUMP & REPAIR

J KEY — JUMPCMD 

- J key calls /jumpcmd. 
- Launches your car straight up into the air. 
- Requires Explore Pass (or event permission) to use outside certain cases.


REPAIR PADS ON THE BRIDGE 

- Look for the green wrench pickups on the Metal Vice bridge. 
- Drive over them to fully repair your Metal Vice car. 
- Each player has a 5 second personal cooldown per repair pad. 


All of this is listed under METAL VICE EVENT CONTROLS inside /myphone.

HYDRA BOMB – B KEY & /DROPTHEBOMB

When you're flying the Hydra (model 6401), you can run an airstrike.

KEYBIND: 

- B key – If you are piloting a Hydra 6401, pressing B will trigger /dropthebomb for you. 


COMMAND: 

- /dropthebomb – Command version of the same attack. 
  - Use this if your keybinds are changed or B doesn't work for you. 
  - You must be in a Hydra (6401) or it will refuse.


Extra details: 

- When you enter a Hydra, you will see a big on-screen Announce: 
  "Hydra Bomb: Press B or use /dropthebomb". 
- /dropthebomb starts a nuke-style bombing run across the city. 
- The bomber is protected so they don't instantly die in their own fire.


You can find this in /myphone under the CONFLICT & OUTFITS section: 
"/dropthebomb – In Hydra (6401), press B or use /dropthebomb to release the payload"

🎯 WTVC — NEW KEYBINDS GUIDE 🎯

🚍 BUS SIMULATOR — NEW BUSDRIVER JOB
• Multi-stop city route: Added a full Busdriver job that sends you across Vice City hitting multiple passenger stops.
• New way to earn cash: Each successful stop pays out cash + XP, turning clean driving into a real paycheck.
• Immersive flow: Drive into the marked bus stop, hold for the pickup timer, then move on to the next waypoint.

Commands:
- /busdriver — Rent a city bus and start the passenger route.
- /quitbus — End your shift and return the bus.

🧨 TWISTED METAL VICE — ANTI-ABUSE TUNING
• 3s jump cooldown: Added a 3 second cooldown to /jumpcmd and the J key during Twisted Vice.
• Goal: Stop players from spamming the "needle" jump exploit, while still letting you use it for tactical movement.
• Result: Jump remains powerful, but you now have to time your launches instead of mashing.

🚨 The Great Reset Has Happened! 🚨

So... my wife unplugged my PC 😅. I've decided to take this opportunity to roll out version 7.7.1!

What's new:

Almost all cars removed... only a very select few remain 🚗

Great news! Half of the server downloads have been halved, and another 25% of files have been compressed even further. This makes the download much faster—over 1GB of server files are now under 20MB! 🚀

⚠️ AUTO-EVENTS SUSPENDED
- Auto-events are turned OFF while World War Zombie is active.
- Full focus on the zombie threat.

🧟 WORLD WAR ZOMBIE IS LIVE
- The dead walk Vice City — fight through roaming zombie packs.
- Clear the streets and earn cash + XP for every undead takedown.
- World War Zombie runs alongside normal jobs, races, and heists.

⏱ AUTO‑EVENTS EVERY ~7 MINUTES
- An automatic event starts roughly every 7 minutes while the server is running.
- Auto-events rotate between:
  - RACES: Downtown, Rally, Airstrip, Offroad, Redneck Race 1, Redneck Race 2, Speedrun
  - ARENA / DM: Metal Vice, Twisted Metal 2, Chicken DM, Zombie Hunt
- Use /autoeventon or /autoeventoff to opt in or out of auto-events.

🏁 ALL RACES & MANUAL START COMMANDS
Manual race commands (when no race/event is running):
- /speedrun – Solo drag/time‑trial race (level‑gated)
- /2playerrace – Head‑to‑head 2‑player drag race
- /airstrip – Airstrip sprint race (10s to join)
- /offroad – Offroad race through the hills (10s to join)
- /redneckrace1 – Redneck countryside race (10s to join)
- /redneckrace2 – Redneck Race 2 (mainly via auto‑events/admin)
- /downtown – Downtown street race (10s to join)
- /rally – Rally circuit race (10s to join)

Race management & info:
- /topracers – View race leaderboards
- /leaverace – Leave current speedrun/drag race
- /leaveairstrip – Leave Airstrip race
- /leaveoffroad – Leave Offroad race
- /leaveredneckrace1 – Leave Redneck Race 1
- /leaveredneckrace2 – Leave Redneck Race 2

Rules:
- Only one race or race‑style event can run at a time.
- Races have a 4‑minute timeout if nobody finishes.
- Only one true winner per race gets the big cash + XP payout.

🔥 METAL VICE & TWISTED METAL 2
How to start:
- /metal – Start the Metal Vice car‑combat event if enough drivers are online.
- /metal2 – Start Twisted Metal 2 arena event (also appears in auto‑event rotation).

Metal Vice keybinds & controls:
- During Metal Vice, your number keys 1–4 are bound to special attacks.
- You can also use:
  - /rocket1 – Fire a rocket straight ahead (shared cooldown).
  - /rocket2 – Fire a side rocket (shared cooldown).
- Get into any vehicle when the event starts or you'll be eliminated.
- Last driver alive takes the full Metal Vice reward and XP.

💣 WARTIME PASS & HEISTS
- Buy /wartimepass at the Wartime Store or ordnance kiosks to unlock:
  - /bomb and /nuke heavy tools (restricted during certain events).
- Run full cinematic bank raids:
  - /bomb1 + /bankrob1 – Downtown bank heist
  - /bomb2 + /bankrob2 – Upland high‑risk bank heist
