When devs implemented GUI., textdraws have been moved to client-side scripting.
This system will no longer work, since version 04rel004.




Nitrous Oxide Systems

You can use the nitro whenever you want. :)
Just press ALT KEY and the nitro will be activated.
The bar will be shown, but will not decrease. For that, use the "Real" version of this script.

You can use the nitro just once at very 60 seconds. (you can change the value)
There are 10 units on the nitro bar, representing the quantity of nitro remained.
Once the tank is emty, you have to wait until it's refilled.
( but do not wait to see it refilling. I decided to not use another timer, so I used time(). You can check the tank by pressing ALT KEY or re-entering car )
The tank is decreasing even if there is no driver, as it should be.

To make this (smoother) nitro script, instead of just speed boosting vehicles, I have played with vehicle's handling data.
I set it to increase Acceleration and MaxSpeed, and when the nitro is deactivated, all values returns to normal.

You need to copy the needed (2) sprites !
(or just download by clicking on them)

You can also create your own sprites, but be careful when you adapt the code.
Add them to ...server/store/sprites/....here

General Discussion / [ Wiki ] Confirmation code isn't received

I noticed that I cannot edit anything in the wiki because I set no e-mail address.
Once I have set it, I was put on wait until the mail with the confirmation code needed is received.
Unfortunately, I still didn't get any mail, and already passed few days. I have resend the mail, and still nothing.
+ the wiki doesn't finish to load the page... that circle representing the loading, never stops.

I used to play on VCCNR (Vice City Cops'N'Robbers) server as a robber, with nab cops that could be easily tricked. :D
I used to drive around and annoy the cops, stop and wait for them to exit from car to can ram them after that (or murdering them with UZI), run far away and then shooting, etc.

But a new cop came in town, ready for action ! Gudio.
He surely knows when to use the shotgun.



I will be a lot more careful now :D

PS: Here is my second chase, failed. >:(
Honey is a lucky guy. He exploded near me, without being arrested.

Map Showroom / Interiors' fixes

I ported the 0.3's map to 0.4, but there is no need for it since there are already all existing interiors brought to world 0.
(actually not all, seems like devs forgot the Haitians' bar - the objects were not brought to world 0)

Anyway. I have seen the way retired devs added the roof of ken's office and I just decided to find more bugged interiors, and trying to fix them.
You will see the Marco's Bistro fixed also, but I kept it under the starfish island, just like in 0.3.
Take it as a tribute for vc:mp 0.3 and retired team. ;)

With 1-2 months ago I did this, thinking about how nice will it look, but I don't like it :D

After you turn on the siren of one of those vehicles, the sound will be played until you exit the car.
Once you have exited, the siren sound will stop...

+ when you burn/explode the vehicle, it will repeat the sound once more.

Closed Bug Reports / [BUG] Some textdraw's entity functions doesn't work !

While I was rewritting the Menu System, I had the surprise to cannot continue the development because of some missing/bugged functions from Textdraw's entity.
Here is the list:

  •       SetPosForAll( x, y );
          SetPosForPlayer( player, x, y );
  •       SetColourForAll( colour );
          SetColourForPlayer( player, colour );

Unfortunately, without these functions, I can't continue the development of the CMSS v2...
I strongly wait for fixes as soon as possible...

Scripting and Server Management / How is the Request Class working ?

I have set the player (and camera) spawn position in the front of the Halloween Pumpkin, but when I tested it I couldn't see any pickup, but just the explosion (thats set by script)...

I set player's World to 0 onPlayerRequestClass, but this didn't fix the problem.

So, how can I make the pickups appear for players that are switching (between) skins too ?

The pumpkin will appear/dissappear at ever 4 seconds in different types !
It was splitted in many parts, and mixed randomly.

I tried today to add a hat to my (ongoing) server, but I couldn't figure out how to make it work...
When I spawn the "weapon", I just get the camera without getting the hat with it's icon.

Can somebody give me an example of .xml to work as a hat ?
If no one knows, does anyone still have the "store" from Public Beta #2 / #3 ? If yes, please upload it to somewhere and give me a link. :)

I have seen many people that could not set up a 0.4 server, so I made a default blank server that could help some of them.
In this archive you will find all you need to run a Windows VC:MP Server.
I have added all implemented events in the main.nut.

I thought Diaz's skin replaced a skin that appeared twice, but it replaced a kin that appears only once.
In left you can see the old Skin ID 106, and in right the new one (Diaz):


I suggest you to re-add the old skin with ID 106, and Diaz's skin to replace the skin with ID 130, because ID 130 and ID 171 are exactly the same.
