Okay so I have paid for the version of Zorin os "Ultimate Edition"
But for some reason I can hear Gta VC, III, But there is no textures. Sometimes when I press pause the "Menu.txd" is jacked up, Sometimes it's even upside down.....
Has anyone else dealt with this? I have followed all of the tutorials across the entire Internet, Now I am stuck with no resources. It's just not working at all. The movies in the beginning of the game do not play either.
That's what you get for using a hacky windows-linux mix :P
why do you even try to run them in a Linux-based machine? Can't you download Windows 7?
(by the way they aren't allowed to commercialize their OS as per the GPL Linux uses)
I do not think that is the issue
@Thijn.
It appears it might be Wine related. After upgrading wine in the about the edition still says 1.6 not 1.8 1.9 or whatever.. So I would like to think this is wine related. So I will have to figure out if that is the issue and why has it not upgraded.

First you say it's not the issue, then you talk about Wine. Tell me how using a hacky Linux-Windows build is still not the issue?
:D :D :D :D :D
Maybe...
I wouldn't of had to upgrade if it weren't for LU's update :D..
Seems Window 7 isn't supported either "tested with a friends os" as well as Vista. I mean it's basically killed LU as we all have outdated OS except maybe three users.. Others have outdated mobo. But... My broke a$$ is trying to see what else I can do to save money that I don't have.
If it's not wine then it's a rendering issue.

You should've had to upgrade when Windows XP stopped being patched two years ago and your computer that's connected to the Internet stopped getting fixes for serious security vulnerabilities HOLY SHIT

Untrue, Red Hat is GPL-based and they commercialize it. The one main requirement attached to this is that you include source code with your releases.
https://www.gnu.org/licenses/gpl-faq.en.html#DoesTheGPLAllowMoney
Since this is Wine-based, have you tried installing a proper DirectX 9 redist packaged for Wine? It may not have come with one pre-installed and might just be using some dodgy open-source equivalents. Other than that I really have no recommendations and don't understand what you mean by Windows 7 being unsupported.
Well
"If I distribute GPL'd software for a fee, am I required to also make it available to the public without a charge? (#DoesTheGPLRequireAvailabilityToPublic)
No. However, if someone pays your fee and gets a copy, the GPL gives them the freedom to release it to the public, with or without a fee. For example, someone could pay your fee, and then put her copy on a web site for the general public.
"
Which means you can download someone elses Red Hat and you are legally allowed to give it for free
Exactly my definition of freedom :)
There's a difference between "not being allowed to commercialize" and "being allowed to commercialize but not retaining full distribution rights." Red Hat has a model that offers not just the software itself but enterprise support to go with it, and they've been very successful, so it's disingenuous to say they're not allowed to sell it.

Where did you get that idea? Besides, what GPL version? L/GPL 2.0? L/GPL 3.0?
IIRC, you must distribute GPL code as long as you make changes or link it statically into your program. Or something along those lines.
GNU General Public License v3 (GPL-3) (https://tldrlegal.com/license/gnu-general-public-license-v3-(gpl-3))
GNU General Public License v2.0 (GPL-2.0) (https://tldrlegal.com/license/gnu-general-public-license-v2)
Man how much I hate people that want everything to be free and opensource as long as it's not theirs. Somehow you strike me as that kind of person.
What? No. Me and zeyad were discussing whether to make VCMPIB opensource or not, and since you are free to do whatever you want with your computer, I told him that we will not release its source but will specify in the license that you're allowed to hack into its source code.
Also, "where did you get that idea"
I copy pasted it from the link thijn gave me

I think stubborn XP users won't listen to you. They will say "no hacker would have time to attack my computer and I'm not afraid of being hacked". I have seen many stubborn XP users. They will always have reason not to upgeade. And I'm tired of persuading them upgrade their OS.
@ysc3839 I'm trying, I'm just on a budget at this time.
Could someone help me? Wine has issues with visual studio 2015 edition.
As you can see
https://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.php?sClass=version&iId=32486
Any system that is wine related for gaming can not play LU which caries many distros.
