Hey guys, I just got a new Windows 8 PC,

And when I try to install VCMP,

Help me out on this one.

I ignored it, and when I tried to launch VCMP, it showed this error.

Download Visual c++ 2013 and install it

Actually I can now run VC, I was just watching a video, when suddenly my screen flashed black and turned smaller. It helped run my VC, thanks. But still VCMP needs some fixing.

Oh, I actually installed vcredist_x64, Installed vcredist_x86, Everything is fine now.

you have to download some files

after downloading paste them all to vcmp folder .
you are done .

Removed links before someone actually tries this. Use the official Microsoft site to download the redistributable.

Why so? Microsoft's site is not messed up and you can get the latest whatever windows updates from there easily without any problems, although how sure are you his files aren't infected? I bet his anti-virus is infected too.
