That's true, we were stuck with a single version in the last years, DM gamemodes being the most popular.
But after these years, a new version is released. A damn new better version (0.4) that will change the future of VC:MP.

Also, I concluded this since the 0.4 RC was released: some players seems to be tired of DM servers, and are just looking for some different gamemodes.
Some scripters also started to finish their new servers, so the player database will start increasing now.
