Hello, I wanted to open a server and I successfully installed it. However, the server is visible only to me and not to other users in general. I also did the port forwarding but I may have made a mistake somewhere. Do you have any idea where I might have made a mistake?

If in windows, along with port forwarding you have to add that udp port in both inbound and outbound rules of 'windows firewall'.

in widnows it doesn happen like that, @YankeeSJ u have to forward both ports in nat settings of your router then portforward ur system ipv4 with vcmp ports it maybe like start port and end port lets say its 8192 so both in start and end u have to enter 8192, it also dpends on what router u have..! kindly share ur router name i may look into it

is it Huawei? cuz these routers allow portforwarding but if its not protforwarding this means ur isp has blocked ports, if this dosnt sort out u can get free hosts for vcmp from our fellow community members, also make sure ur announce.dll is working fine i remmember one habi provided a working one to me

announce.dll is missing from my server file. I am using Server64. I guess I am not good at setting up servers. Please enlighten me.

make sure in ur plugins folder u have this plugin announce04rel64.dll or announce04rel32.dll or announce04rel64.so depends upon what system ur using secondly in ur server.cfg file make sure u have something like this plugins squirrel04rel64 sqlatestfeatures04rel64 xmlconf04rel64 announce04rel64 now restart ur server if its portforwarded correctly it will show up on masterlist

you can also check this url https://thijn.minelord.com/vcmp/checker/ to test if ur ports are really open and forwaeded correctly u will get a result like this

YankeeSJ

Even though I opened the port correctly, my server is not visible and the IP address on the site you sent is not visible when I add it to my favorites, my IP4 address is visible and I am the only one who can access it.

I believe in some old versions of windows you have to do this besides port forwarding correctly in router:
Windows Firewall->Outbound Rules->New Rule:
Select Port

Select UDP and type 8192 (you can add 8192,8193 comma separated also)

Click Allow the connection:

Type a name such as VCMP - 8192 UDP

2. Do the same for Inbound Rules also.

u can get a free host though, + if u do belive like ur completly ware that u know about portforwarding and all and still u cant see means ur ports are not open due to ur isp blcoking them do one more thing.. i used to do back in the days disable firewall simple as said by habi his procedure will work if u dont want to disable the whole firewall

YankeeSJ

If I send the port settings directly, my IP address etc. will be visible, will there be a problem, hack etc. :D And I suspect 2 possibilities, I suspect the server files

YankeeSJ

announcer: Ready to announce to masterlist(s) and the last text written in the server x64 exe says something like this
