Apparently this shit called "arabyonline" took over my PC a few years ago. it changed chromes search engine and I cant change it back. luckily I use Edge but its not totally bug free so I sometimes have to use chrome. I reinstalled chrome, reregistered it in the registry (regedit) and deleted it from %localappdata% but this ugly thick fuck doesnt get removed. its taking my freedom of having control over my hardware. pl0x help me also don't tell me any survey or paid shit ty

The ways to remove any shit site (arabyonline) or another site
- Stop every antivirus temporary
- download zoek (small size , no ads) http://download.bleepingcomputer.com/smeenk/ or http://hijackthis.nl/smeek
- return and set the google chrome or Internet Explorer to default settings
- go to Control Panel > Programs and uninstal ARhome.exe (maybe you dont find it)
- open zoek after installing it and open it as ADMINSTRATOR it may take minute or two to open (so dont open it again)
- after opening the program add this script to the program

- check [Scan All Users]
- press [Run Script]

Also get a trial of avast and run the anti viruse to scan right before the computer fully boots, this way you can fully remove weird files that go undetected.
Avast also has a awesome web browser that I fully love.
Other that say cheat engine work I do or trading dlls etc it will delete them and you would need to turn off your defense but altogether awesome anti virus

I will try to remember the rest. I will say if anything go for adwcleaner first

Why you are trying to use these software? My friend's computer have had a virus like CrystalBlue's. When he was using Chrome he found some advertisements in EVERY website. Even in the example.com! And there's no such advertisements in IE. And he tried lots of software but still can't remove it. Finally used a manual anti-virus tool removed it.
So, at this time I want to have a try if I can remove it by hand.

Just nuke the thing. No amount of cleaning software and guides and tips and tricks will help you to get rid of that. After you've nuked the thing, I'd suggest that you open Chrome in a Linux box to see if the extension attempts to install itself again. Since Google saves the list of installed extensions into your account.

If any of these methods doesn'twork for you Crystal, then backup all your important files and reinstall your OS. It's the best way.

Well before reinstalling your os I would suggest going into safe mode and try to remove them. there in your pc not just your browser.

I had one I killed and corrupted but still cant delete that file. I figured It was good enough

Thanks to all of you for your help. I unfortunately have about 512GB of installed and important shit which I cant just copy and paste + I will void my license by installing it again (my license was a w10insiderpreview license). I'll try all of your solutions and see which one works.

I tried my best, I searched for arabyonline in registry, I tried checking some common folders, a whole harddrive search for 'arabyonline' I even tried to inspectelement in chrome settings to change the default search engine by removing the disabled="" well it wasn't disabled anymore but didn't work. this shit is making me angry that I don't have 100% full and total control over my computer
